On December 6, 2008, Mike Kavanagh, the founder and curator of wsbhistory.com, died. Mike devoted many hours gathering information and pictures for the site. It became a rallying point for many WSB radio employees and alumni. When the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame was conceived in early, 2007, it's founders asked Mike to join the fledgling group as a member of it's board of directors. He made many contributions to the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame including this, in his own words:

"I would like – as a first donation – to give as a legacy donation on my passing the rights to the site I now run, wsbhistory.com.

This way I can be assured that the historic information I am gathering along with the historic audio

will be preserved for generations to come".      

It is with great honor that the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame officially takes ownership of and assumes the responsibility for perpetuating Mike Kavanagh's legacy.
