ABOUT US
This web site is the dream inspired by a group of veteran WSB Radio broadcasters who in June 2004 formed a group called the WSB Old Timers. It is designed to be a virtual museum that highlights the history of AM 750 and the people who made it one of the greatest radio stations in America.
The site belongs to The Radio History Group - a new organization headed by Mike Kavanagh, who remains a part time employee of WSB Radio. However, the site is not endorsed and has no connection with WSB Radio, Cox Radio or any of the companies of Cox Enterprises. It is a labor of love. To contact Mike about this site, send him an e-mail at the following (new as of March 2008) address: info@wsbhistory.com
For now, none of the material on this site is copyrighted and is available to anyone. Copyrighted material is used on the site and if duplicated you must give attribution (example - photos from the collection of Georgia State University). Our future intent is for the Radio History Group to form a museum corporation and accept contributions of material that can be copyrighted to the non-profit organization. Information presented here is for research and enjoyment. Corrections and additions are welcome. WSB alumni are encouraged to provide recollections and input to be shared with the general public. E-mail Mike Kavanagh at the address above. Please also sign in on our public guestbook so people can see your comments and feedback.
The WSB Old Timers group is a private e-mail service club run by former WSB News Director Bob Ketchersid. WSB Alumni are asked to join the club. Send your info and e-mail to mike@wsbhistory.com |
